That’s the mission of the popular Downtown Fit program, which returns to Gloucester Main Street for the 2019 season on June 10 with the first in a series of group fitness classes, collaborations with a local brewpub and other special events for the community that run through the fall.

Familiar faces, as part of a famous familiar series, are set to return to Main Street in Gloucester this summer, the Gloucester Arts Festival committee announced this week.

The Middle Peninsula Alliance announced today it is accepting nominations from the community for private-sector leaders in business or non-profit organizations to serve on its Advisory Board.

Residents on the Middle Peninsula can now earn rewards for carpooling, vanpooling and telecommuting, as well as build stronger connections with others also looking to ride share to work, thanks to the recent launch of the enhanced MidPenRideShare online platform.

Riverside Walter Reed Hospital will host a blood drive Monday, March 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The blood drive will be held at the hospital’s Dining Conference Room, located at 7519 Hospital Drive in Gloucester, just off of Main Street and Route 17.
