Grand Opening Extravaganza: Two Family-Oriented Businesses Make Their Debut on Gloucester Main Street, April 3!

Gloucester Main Street is getting sweeter—and more story-filled—with the grand openings of two exciting new businesses designed with families in mind. On Thursday, April 3, The Nook and The Cereal Plug will officially open their doors, offering new spaces for kids, families, and the young at heart to enjoy.

Join us for The Nook’s grand opening from 5–7 PM! This inviting bookstore, located at 6616 Main St, Gloucester, VA, will celebrate with a ribbon cutting, book browsing, and a chance to meet the store’s beloved axolotl mascot. With cozy reading spaces and shelves stocked with books for all ages, The Nook is set to become a go-to destination for book lovers.

Grand Opening of The Cereal Plug

Then, from 6–8 PM, The Cereal Plug will bring a burst of color and creativity to Main Street with its grand opening celebration. Located at 6604 Main Street, Gloucester, VA, guests can enjoy a ribbon cutting and a variety of fun and imaginative cereal creations at this spot for custom cereal bowls and other sweet treats. The Cereal Plug will be open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays, from 12:01 AM to 11 PM on Sundays, and from 6:00 AM to 11 PM Monday through Thursday, making it a unique addition to downtown.
