Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The Middle Peninsula/Northern Neck Walk to End Alzheimer’s was held on Saturday morning in Gloucester Court House. Although the Alzheimer’s Association is still processing payments, Senior Director Mary Sandridge said that the walk attracted 170 walkers who have raised $45,000 to date. Barbara Monteith, Senior Development Manager at the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter, spoke to the assembled group before the walk. “For many of you, this is a crisis that hits close to home,” she said. “We are here because of you and for you.” Money raised will help the fight against Alzheimer’s as the organization works toward a cure.
