Riverside Walter Reed Hospital will host a blood drive Monday, March 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The blood drive will be held at the hospital’s Dining Conference Room, located at 7519 Hospital Drive in Gloucester, just off of Main Street and Route 17.

This county-wide litter cleanup has become a community tradition with hundreds of volunteers removing litter from roadways, businesses, schools, neighborhoods and parks. Church groups will be encouraged to be part of the cleanup effort this year.

The Main Street Preservation Trust has opened applications for 2019 for business and property owners along Main Street in Gloucester who wish to improve their facades or interiors of their buildings in the commercial area of Main Street.

Three Gloucester Main Street business owners have earned their Certificate in Retail Operations from the Retail Alliance Foundation’s Center for Retail Excellence and were awarded more than $25,000 in grant funding to expand their services in 2019, the Gloucester Main Street Preservation Trust announced this week.
