Gloucester Main Street Welcomes a Surge of New Businesses

Gloucester Main Street is seeing an exciting wave of growth, with nine new businesses opening in recent months—and more on the way. This momentum is energizing the downtown experience while boosting the economic vitality of the corridor by supporting entrepreneurship, job creation, and a wider variety of goods and services.

The latest additions include SPEX on SIGHT, House of Ren, The Nook, The Cereal Plug, ARTWORK: Cowork in the Village, Buoy 22, Porter’s on Main, Timeless Treasures, and Lotus Boba Café. These ventures span industries like health and wellness, dining, antiques, family entertainment, coworking, and specialty retail. Each business helps add a new layer of depth to Gloucester’s downtown.

Whether it’s House of Ren, offering wellness services and a versatile event venue; ARTWORK, cultivating creativity and productivity for remote workers; or Porter’s on Main, bringing an elevated dining experience to the heart of Main Street—these small businesses are strengthening the fabric of the community.

And they’re not alone. Timeless Treasures, which opened its doors on July 1, offers booth rentals for antiques, handcrafted items, furniture, and unique collections, while Lotus Boba Café brings new flavors to Main Street with boba tea and pho.

Together, these locally owned businesses contribute directly to the charm and resilience of Gloucester Main Street. Every visit and every purchase helps support local jobs, local families, and the future of this vibrant downtown.

This continued growth highlights Gloucester as a place where small businesses thrive—and where the community shows up to support them.
