Gloucester Main Street Wraps Up 2024 Facade Enhancement & Interior Improvement Grant Program
Gloucester Main Street proudly announces the successful completion of its 2024 Facade & Interior Grant Program. This year’s recipients, Ware Neck Produce, Mariposa Medical Spa, and The LC Salon, exemplify a shared commitment to revitalizing Gloucester’s historic Main Street. By choosing to work alongside Gloucester Main Street, these businesses have demonstrated their dedication to enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of their spaces, contributing to the vibrancy of the downtown community.
The Facade & Interior Grant Program, one of Gloucester Main Street’s signature initiatives, provides matching grants of up to $20,000 for exterior and $15,000 for interior improvements to Gloucester Main Street business and building owners. Designed to preserve the district's historic charm and enhance economic vitality, the program supports a variety of projects, including HVAC systems, signage, painting, window and door repairs, lighting, and flooring.
Since its inception, the program has played a vital role in transforming properties along Main Street. Through the collaborative efforts of local business owners, property owners, and Gloucester Main Street, more than one million dollars has been invested into the Main Street district, enhancing its appeal and ensuring its legacy for future generations.

Applications for the 2025 round of the Facade and Interior Grant Program are now open! Applicants must be members of the Gloucester Main Street Association, and submitted their proposals to the Main Street Office by February 7th.
