Gloucester Main Street Association Names Kat Larkin New Executive Director
The Gloucester Main Street Association (GMSA) is proud to announce the appointment of Katherine “Kat” Larkin as its new Executive Director—ushering in an exciting new chapter for the organization and the continued growth of Gloucester’s historic Main Street.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kat to Gloucester Main Street,” said Pam Callis-Lett, GMSA board chair. “Her energy, vision, and commitment to community make her an outstanding choice to lead GMSA into its next phase.”
A driving force behind economic vitality and community life in downtown Gloucester, GMSA is dedicated to supporting small businesses, fostering partnerships, and preserving the character that makes Main Street a vibrant destination. With new leadership in place, the organization is poised to build on its strong momentum and expand its impact across the community.
Larkin brings experience in community engagement and local programming, most recently serving as Executive Director of the Mathews County Visitor and Information Center and as a member of the Mathews Main Street Committee. During her time there, she worked closely with local businesses, introduced new community events, and helped strengthen connections between residents and visitors. Originally from Richmond, she has long-standing ties to the Middle Peninsula and a deep appreciation for its communities.
As Executive Director, Larkin will lead GMSA’s efforts to advance economic development, support local businesses, and enhance the cultural and social vitality of Gloucester’s Main Street district.
“I am honored to join the Gloucester Main Street Association,” said Larkin. “I look forward to working alongside this incredible community to build on the strong foundation already in place and help Main Street continue to flourish.”
A private welcoming event will be held at Gloucester Brewing Company for business owners and community stakeholders.
