Trick or Treat on Main Street

Main Street came alive with Halloween spirit on Friday, October 31, as families, friends, and costumed visitors gathered for our annual Trick or Treat on Main Street event. The evening featured candy stops at local businesses, creative window displays, and our second annual costume contest, all creating a festive and family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of Gloucester.

The event was made possible through the support of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office, Chesapeake Bank, and community partners, including the House of Ren, LC Salon, and Gloucester Parks, Rec, & Tourism, who provided event space and equipment. It was truly a community effort, with local businesses, organizations, and volunteers lending their time and energy to make the evening a success.

The Halloween Window Decorating Contest added even more excitement, with Main Street businesses transforming their storefronts into spooky and whimsical scenes. The Cereal Plug took first place, followed by Buoy 22 in second and The Silver Box in third.

Trick or Treat on Main Street continues to be one of Gloucester’s most cherished community traditions, bringing together residents, visitors, and businesses for a safe and memorable evening on Main Street.

Up next on Main Street’s calendar is a holiday favorite: Holiday Open House on December 6.
