Yorktown Revolutionary Festival

Kick off the afternoon with the Revolutionary Festival (3–7 PM) — a family-friendly event featuring artillery demonstrations, colonial music, living history encampments, kids’ games, militia drills, spy challenges, hands-on history activities, and more. Enjoy live performances throughout the day, including The Colonial Entertainers Guild, Follow the River, and The Fifes & Drums of York Town.

At 7 PM, gather for a special preview screening of Ken Burns’s new documentary, The American Revolution, set against the historic backdrop of the Yorktown Battlefield. This exclusive premiere includes never-before-seen excerpts created just for this event, with remarks from co-directors Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt.

  • Bring lawn chairs, water, flashlights, sunscreen, and bug spray.

  • Free ADA-accessible trolley service runs 11 AM–9 PM.
